태양은 뜨고 지고

내가 데려온 작은 소녀와
놀고 있는 작은 소년
그들이 노는 것을 보고 있노라면
내가 늙어간다는 사실을 느낄 수 없어요.
언젠가 소녀는 아름다운 여인이 되고
소년은 멋진 신사가 되겠지요.
그들도 아주 작던 시절이 있었습니다.


태양은 뜨고 지고
태양은 뜨고 지고
세월은 덧없이 흘러갑니다.
나무들은 해바라기를 따라
밤새도록 돌고
석양의 과일꽃들은 우리를 마주 봅니다.

한계절은 또 다른 계절로 바뀌어
행복과 눈물의 계절을 이룹니다.


그들에게 줄 수 있는 현명한 말이 무얼까?
그들을 평탄한 길로 어떻게 이끌수 있을까?
지금 그들은 서로에게 배워야 하지요
하루 또 하루를...
새로운 짝인 그들은
모두가 보기에도 자연스러워요.
