cat's whiskers멋진 사람

I still miss my house cat (cat died on 5th Dec 08) YAUNG (American Short Hair) and

Haney (한이)-  한이 still live-in  my house (The dog  ten years over)

 

A:  Look at Honey.  She only seems to be interested in taking to the

important people here

봐, 봐 한이. 그녀는 여기서 중요한 사람하고만 얘기 하는데 만

관심이 있는 것 같애.

 

B:  I know but she wasn't always like that.  She used to be friendly

with everybody.

내가 알기론 그녀는 항상 그러진 않았는데..

그녀는 모든 사람에게 친절 했거든

A:  Why the change?

왜? 그렇게 변해 갈 까? 

 

B:  It's because she's been elected chair of the association.

She thinks she's the cat's whiskers

그 이유는 그녀가 협회장으로 뽑혔어. 

그녀 생각은 그녀 자신이 대단한 사람이라고 생각 하나 봐.

 

A:  That's not the best way to behave if you need everybody's

cooperation.

모든 사람과의 협력을 생각 한다면

그 방법 만이 최선이 아닐 텐데..

B:  Too true.  She'll find out soon enough. 

 

 

PS:  cat's whiskers!!!는 고양이 수염이 멋지게 보이는 것에서 온 말로

감격할 정도로 멋진 것. 혹은 멋진 사람 을 의미 한단다.

맞아, 그녀도 곧 알게 될 꺼야.
